Benchmark Homes is a small family
owned housebuilding business based in Devon. Established in 1987
Benchmark Homes specialise in the design and build of high
quality unique homes on individual sites. Most houses enjoy
interesting settings in South Devon between Plymouth and Exeter.
Benchmark Homes only build or convert a small number of homes
each year so that full attention to detail and workmanship can
be maintained. Each newbuild home is protected by the National
House Building Council (NHBC) 10 year warranty.
Each home is designed to take full account of the
characteristics of each site to maximise the enjoyment and
comfort of the inhabitants. At the same time, and in
consultation with the local planning authority, local
architectural features and materials are identified and, where
possible and appropriate, are incorporated into the project.
Local craftsmen and traditional materials are used with modern
techniques to give energy saving dwellings superior to statutory
requirements with the consequent reduction in heat loss and
carbon emission and enhanced comfort.
